Past Client Spotlights
Rachel

I chose my session with Rachel for this month's spotlight because we did such a variety of settings and poses - each one unique and beautiful.

This session helps to show what is possible with a few changes of clothes, a couple of different backdrops, light engineering and a pinch of adventurous spirit.

Also, Rachel brought along a close childhood friend and as a result, we had a couple of hours of good old-fashioned (or modern?) Girl Fun!

Laurel

My session with Laurel took place on Sunday, April 23rd. I believe this sets the record as the earliest month that I photographed a client in the cold waters of the Puget Sound.

With such a perfect first outdoor session, I am excited for the summer! I love photographing people outdoors in any setting - beach, park, forest, meadow. Photographing the pregnant form in outdoor settings is, for me, the ultimate artful celebration of the natural perfection of pregnancy. Hurray for the sun!

Jimi & Teresa Warfield

I have photographed Theresa, Jimi and their family several times over the years; after the birth of their daughter Virginia and for a large, extended family gathering.

On March 1st, 2006, Theresa called me to let me know that Jimi had died of liver cancer. He was 36. As a way to honor and celebrate Jimi, who was a warm, kind, playful and vibrant person, I wanted to spotlight him and his family.

Gina & Stephen

This session was all about chocolate! Decorating with chocolate, eating chocolate, laughing about chocolate. Stephen and Gina drove all the way up from Eugene, OR for our session and also got a chance to spend some time together away from their daily life, before the birth of their baby. Gina & Stephen are a couple full of playfulness and laughter and our session was very giggly.

Lanelle

Over the hours, weeks and sometimes years that I spend with my clients, I get a chance to learn a little about who they are, where they come from and why they decided to have a portrait created. We photograph, talk, laugh and sometimes cry. We spend time on the phone, time in the studio or outdoors, and time creatively finishing the final piece or pieces. The whole experience is very rich. As a way of passing on a piece of that experience, we are highlighting a recent (and sometimes not-so-recent) client each month to share some of their photos and story.
